About

I’m a Pemberton-based artist who began sharing my work publicly in 2025, though painting has always been part of who I am. Shaped by the landscapes I grew up in and a long career in the sign industry, I now create intuitive, expressive work guided by feeling and personal exploration.

I have always been happiest with a paintbrush in my hand. Raised in Pemberton, I grew up surrounded by landscapes that quietly shaped my creative spirit. I am a self-taught artist, and although I spent more than 30 years in the sign industry, there came a time when I felt creatively starved. After returning from the Cariboo, I chose to fully answer the call to paint. 

I often approach the canvas with only a few colours and no fixed plan, trusting the process to guide me. My work explores the subtle nuances of relationships and emotion, allowing feeling and movement to unfold naturally. Over the years I’ve painted everything from musical sets and stagecoaches to driftwood and unexpected objects. My artistic compass is broad and intuitive, always open to what inspires me in the moment.

Since publicly introducing my work in 2025, I have had the honour of participating in several exhibitions, including the 100 Mile Art Shows and “Pieces of Me – Healing Through Artistic Expression.” I was proud to be the Featured Artist at the District of 100 Mile House Main Office in Summer 2025 and showcased my work in a solo exhibition at the Showcase Gallery in the South Cariboo Business Centre. Additionally, my participation in the Williams Lake Art Show—“Reflections: The Art of Self Portraiture”—was a meaningful experience.
